Discipleship
Uganda Gospel Outreach
Since 2009, Blessings of Joy has been reaching communities surrounding Mweruka with the message of hope in Jesus Christ. The Uganda Gospel Outreach program continues that mission today—spreading the Gospel far beyond the walls of Mweruka Junior School.
Through local leadership and evangelism teams, including teachers and church members, the outreach ministry brings Scripture, prayer, and discipleship to families who may never have encountered the Gospel otherwise. These efforts include crusades, personal visits, and community gatherings, always rooted in humility and compassion.
Gospel Outreach
The Blessings of Joy Church was founded in 2005 by Solomon Mutebi, a local teacher and minister, as a place to share God’s Word and serve the spiritual needs of Mweruka village. What began as a small gathering of believers has grown into a vibrant church community deeply connected to Mweruka Junior School and the broader mission of Blessings of Joy.
The church provides weekly services, pastoral care, and ongoing discipleship, walking alongside students and families through every stage of life. Many church members also serve as teachers, mentors, and evangelists—living out their faith in service to others.
Spiritual Growth
Faith is not just taught at Mweruka Junior School—it is lived out daily. Each Monday morning, all students gather in the dining hall to sing, dance, and hear stories from the Bible, taught by their teachers. It’s a joyful, encouraging start to the week.

(A a note from one of the sponsored students, Araisha, sixth grade, about Monday devotions.)
These classes are part of Blessing of Joy’s core commitment to spiritual care, alongside education, food, and shelter. This activity gives students a strong foundation of truth and helps them develop personal faith in God. Children are encouraged to pray, ask questions, and live out their beliefs both at school and at home.
