Our Leadership

I am Sserwanga Godfrey, and by God's grace, I serve as the administrator for Mweruka Junior School. I am a born-again Christian. My journey in faith began when I was just 13 years old, after earnestly seeking guidance from God about which religion to follow. Although my father, who was a Seventh-day Adventist, was not pleased with my decision, I believed that God had a greater purpose for me.

My salvation has been transformative; I am who I am today because of it. It has brought me a long way, and I have never regretted becoming born again. In fact, I am proud to be a follower of Christ. I believe that a person's life is only truly complete when they have Jesus, as stated in John 14:6. There are many signs that demonstrate someone is a believer, as mentioned in Mark 16:17, and this is ultimately what God desires from us, according to 1 Timothy 2:3. I firmly believe that everyone needs salvation. If you have not yet experienced it, I encourage you to read Romans 10:10 to learn how you can become saved.

Evangelism: My primary calling is evangelism. God instructed me to work for Him, and I have pursued this call mainly through door-to-door evangelism and preaching about Jesus, as well as participating in outreach programs such as crusades.

Deliverance: God has entrusted me with the power of deliverance, enabling me to cast out and rebuke evil spirits. Many people come seeking prayers, and I have witnessed God working through me in this ministry.

Music Ministry: I am also gifted as a pianist and drummer, talents I use to serve in church and in other ministries, including crusades, conferences, and seminars.

Preaching: As a preacher, I share God's word with the congregation at my church, during conferences and seminars, and at Mweruka Junior School.

I am Ugandan by nationality. I am married to one wife and am a father to two biological children, in addition to caring for many others. My role at Mweruka Junior School is that of School Administrator, a position I cherish deeply. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve MJS, where God has helped me manage a diverse group of people, including both educated and non-educated individuals, teaching and non-teaching staff, people older and younger than myself, and students, for a period of ten years.

Throughout my tenure, God has guided me in addressing various challenges and problems at MJS. Through prayer, the school has experienced continuous improvement in all areas—teachers, students, and parents alike are benefiting from my leadership as administrator.

I am committed to the well-being of both teachers and students and to the ongoing development of MJS. By God's grace, the school has seen significant progress. New buildings have been constructed, older ones have been renovated, and the school's land holdings have expanded. A new school van is now operational, employee salaries have increased, and longstanding programs such as shoes, nutrition, medication, awards, scholarships, and sponsorships have been maintained. The staff has been strengthened with the addition of social workers, cooks, teachers, a school coach, and a secretary. Current projects include the construction of a new kitchen and a dental facility.

When I first joined MJS, the school typically achieved one to three first grades. Now, the school regularly attains 10 to 20 first grades.

Student Appearance: The smartness of students has greatly improved, with students becoming increasingly well-groomed.

Hygiene and Sanitation: These have risen significantly due to strict enforcement and programs such as the Children's Award Program (CAP), which have been instrumental in promoting cleanliness.

Spiritual Formation: We foster a God-fearing spirit among students through regular prayers and preaching every Monday morning.

Parental Engagement: There has been a shift in parental attitudes towards education. Many parents now see the value in educating their children and are more actively involved. The belief in free education as the only way is gradually diminishing.

Student Health: Health has improved markedly. Issues like jiggers have been eliminated thanks to cemented classroom floors and donated shoes. Nutrition has improved with regular meals, deworming, and administration of multivitamins, leading to healthier students.

With God's hand upon MJS and BOJ, I envision the school becoming a true paradise. I foresee continued improvement in both academic performance and spiritual life among the children. MJS will produce professionals and mighty men and women of God. The surrounding society will be transformed in many ways— literally, financially, and spiritually. Looking ahead, I anticipate growth in both student and staff populations, which will necessitate the construction of additional facilities such as computer rooms, dining halls, staff rooms, more classrooms, and dormitories. Joseph and Solomon attended high school and college together. When Solomon came to the States, Joseph accepted the Mweruka Junior School deputy director leadership roll, which includes completing paperwork that allows MJS to maintain its primary school accreditation. He continues now as a consultant and supervisor. He is a member of the Christ Exceeds Board of Directors.

My name is Namaganda Josephine, and I am a teacher at MJS. I am married with two daughters, Linah and Lisa. In my role, I teach Primary Two English, Literacy Two, and Religious Education, as well as Literacy Two and English in Primary One. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I serve as both the Deputy Principal and Librarian of the school. These positions have enabled me to cultivate valuable leadership skills. My name is Johnstone Osuku. I began my journey at Mweruka Junior School in 2019, joining the staff to teach English language to grades 3, 4, and 5. I continued in this teaching role until 2025, dedicating myself to the academic growth of my students.

Currently, I serve as the Director of Studies at Mweruka Junior School. In this capacity, I am responsible for a range of academic and administrative duties. My role includes overseeing the regular supervision of both teachers and pupils, ensuring educational standards are maintained throughout the school.

I place great importance on the values of diligence, teamwork, integrity, and charity. These principles have been instrumental in my personal and professional development during my time at MJS. I am grateful to the governing board of Mweruka Junior School for appointing me as the Director of Studies and Chairman of the School Disciplinary Committee. My name is Kakooza Hamidu, and I joined this institution in 2017. Since then, I have served as an educator for grades 3, 4, 5. Throughout my tenure, I have observed students develop from timid learners into confident individuals, which has been a rewarding experience. I am grateful for the professional journey I have undertaken at MJS.

In addition to teaching, I have contributed to building confidence and guiding my students. My service at MJS also extends to membership on the school hygiene committee, where I collaborate with colleagues and engage learners to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment. By coordinating sanitation parades and instructing students on personal hygiene practices, such as keeping nails short and washing hands after using the toilets, we foster habits that contribute significantly to overall cleanliness. I firmly believe that a clean educational setting is fundamental to effective learning.

My experiences here have been enriched by the support of many, particularly the Board of Directors in the USA, whose generosity has greatly benefitted our disadvantaged children. Their contributions have created meaningful opportunities and provided necessary meals, bringing hope to those who need it most. Reflecting on my time since 2017, I see not only educational achievements but also the positive impact made on young lives. With ongoing support from the Board in the USA, I am confident our students will continue to grow stronger, healthier, and more hopeful.

English serves as the official language in educational institutions and offices across Uganda. My name is Nagadya Agnes Tendo. I became a school cook at Mweruka Junior in 2019. I started learning to cook when I was twelve years old; my mother taught me how to prepare traditional dishes such as bananas, sweet potatoes, and cassava.

After finishing my O’level studies, I attended an institute earning a catering and hotel management certificate. I would like to thank Blessings of Joy for their ongoing support, especially in providing meals for the pupils at MJS. The children really enjoy the delicious porridge and special meals.

Hey, I am Elias Bainomugisha, a night watchman at MJS. I joined in 2017 and have served as the school guard for almost eight years. I got involved with MJS with the influence of our beloved director of Christ Exceeds, Mr. Kizito Benon, who trusted me to be among the MJS staff.

My specific role is to protect the school properties and lives of people in the school and to serve pupils.

I thank the school for having provided electricity for the school; this has simplified my work. Now another big challenge is that the school lacks a perimeter wall, but I hope God who provides all is the one who will also provide the perimeter wall.

Ever since I joined MJS, there is a good working relationship between me and staff and I enjoy being at MJS because it is a Christian-founded school. This has helped me to grow spiritually and economically and now, spiritually I am leading a praising team in devotion services and intersession for school and workers together with Madam Mariam. For sure MJS has helped me to grow spiritually and now I am a gospel singer, and I preach the word of God in the different services at school.

Since MJS helped me to grow spiritually and economically, I too take the responsibility to help the pupils by the guidance of Holy Spirit to encourage them in how they can devote themselves to God through preaching to them the word of God, fasting and praying and singing gospel worship/praise songs. This has yielded great results since many students have given their lives to Jesus.

My name is Asiimwe Nicholas. I am a born-again Christian and an evangelist, committed to serving my Lord through preaching the gospel. I come from the Ankole region and belong to the Banyalwanda tribe.

Currently, I work at Mweruka Junior School as a security guard. With God's help, I am dedicated to ensuring the safety and protection of everyone and everything in the school community, striving to fulfill my duties with excellence.

My journey at Mweruka Junior School began on July 16, 2024, but here my spiritual journey was transformed. From a Catholic background, it was by the guidance of our Administrator that I truly understood the message of God's grace. I accepted the Lord as my personal savior and I am now a proud born-again Christian, loving God, the creator of the Earth and the universe.

Professionally, I serve as the School Secretary. I am a dedicated ICT expert with deep, specialized knowledge in a wide range of digital tools. My expertise encompasses the entire Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe creative programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, and internet technologies including website design, development, and digital marketing. A key part of my role involves maintaining our school's technology; I am responsible for the repair and maintenance of our computers and printers, as well as software installation and data entry management.

I was hired by the Administrator, and from my first day, I was drawn to the positive environment, the students, and the people of MJS. I am a man who completes his work promptly and strives to bring innovation and a positive difference in all things related to technology. Before joining MJS, I built my experience in teaching ICT, performing data entry, and handling secretarial duties for another institution.

I thrive in challenging situations and am committed to lifelong learning, often spending my free time on research to learn something new every day. I love my job and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve at Mweruka Junior School.
